Hancock County Strategic Planning Team

Vision: The Hancock County School District is committed to provide each student with a well-rounded educational program leading to college entrance and/or career pathways which will foster economic independence and social responsibility in the twenty-first century. In addition, a partnership of staff, parents and community stakeholders will prepare students to become responsible citizens and productive members of the communities in which they live.

Mission: To create a learning community that will prepare students to be respectful contributing and responsible citizens in a multicultural and ever advancing technological society.

Goals:

To ensure high levels of performance to increase achievement, wellness, health and safety for all students in Hancock County
To ensure fiscal responsibility and resource stewardship
To promote partnership that will increase parents, families and stakeholders involvement toward the development of lifelong learners
To establish an environment that encourages collaboration and shared decision making involving administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and community members
To recruit and retain highly qualified staff in the Hancock County School District
To maximize organizational effectiveness
